It's a Friday night on a college campus, which means it's time for students to kick back and relax after a long week of classes. Many students will venture out to a party and enjoy rounds of beer pong, quarters, flip cup and numerous other drinking games. A few beer bongs and a couple of keg stands later, the college students are well on their way to a drinking binge for the night.
Should the drinking age be lowered to 18? Why or why not?
Recently, a group of American college presidents made headlines when they went public with the Amethyst Initiative: a movement that calls on lawmakers to change the current drinking age of 21 to 18.

On Friday, Sept. 26, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College President David G. Behrs held a forum for students to speak out and ask questions about the recent Program Analysis preliminary report. The forum was held at 4 p.m. in Sullivan Parlor in Le Fer Hall.
Monday, Sept. 22 - Full preliminary report distributed at a town meeting at 4 p.m. in Hayes Auditorium, rubrics will be returned to those listed on the original list of respondents. Tuesday, Sept. 23 - The preliminary report was made available on the Intraweb and on D2L.
Window contest at SMWC bookstore The principles of marketing and business research classes, along with the graphic design class are working on a service project with the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College bookstore. The project requires the students to work with the bookstore to create a marketing plan and decorate the storefront.
When Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College received computers as part of an HP Technology Grant, no one could say exactly how the computers would enhance courses at SMWC.
